Hello everyone, first off I would like to share my story.
I am 41 yes old, have a wife and two beautiful children. For the last 21 years I have been a retail store manager and have for the most part enjoyed it. It provided myself and my family with a house, vehicles, and the ability to enjoy life. Not living extravagantly but being able to provide everything they needed.
As of October 2022, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer (esophagus and liver). It came at a great surprise. I was in fact training for the annual thanksgiving 5k when I took myself to the hospital with stomach pain. Little did I know then what was going on in my body. I spent the next 2 months is UTSW in Dallas Getting care 2 rounds of chemo, and infected port location in my chest, and countless infections in my body while there. They had given me 4-6 weeks to live. My wife and I made the decision to stop chemo and take a different approach. Between prayers (lots and lots of prayers) and a complete lifestyle change, we have been able to beat all the initial odds given to us . It is now April and I’m still here. A complete organic diet, hollistic medicine, and a strong belief in the lord and I am still here.
I was However put on long term disability with work. A new job I had only had for 6 months at the time. So other than paying for insurance out of pocket, I have no other income coming in. Which is why I’m here. To try and help my family out financially with any and all means available . I want to continue providing for my 2 year old, 8 year old, and wife as best as I can.
thank you all for taking the time to read my story and god bless you and yours.
