I am pleased to announce that we are in the beginning stages of opening a non-profit organization in loving memory of my son, Austin James Leatherman. We unexpectedly lost Austin, forever 17, to suicide on May 28, 2025. Through our broken hearts we would like to give back to others in providing awareness, prevention and compassion throughout our communities to honor the love that Austingave everyone he knew.
The Mission Statement is To cultivate a safe, supportive community where open and compassionate conversations about suicide are encouraged. We strive to increase awareness, promote prevention, and offer accessible resources to individuals, families, and groups. Through empathy, education, and understanding, we work to reduce stigma and illuminate the real challenges people face, fostering hope and connection for all. Vision Statement: A world where every person feels seen, supported and empowered to seek help without fear or stigma - where open conversations about mental health are embraced, resources are accessible to all, and communities stand together to foster hope, healing, and connection.
While we are still in the start-up phase, there are still multiple costs involved. If your heart feels compelled, please consider making a donation to this much needed cause. Simply sharing this link across your social media platforms would mean the world to us as well!
At this time, all donations are NOT tax deductible, but this will be updated once the status is approved.
Thank you so much for all of the continued love and support!
