My daughter, Amanda Baker, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in November 2023. We have been on the path to remission ever since. That remission will hopefully be attained by Tandem Stem Cell transplants taking place in May and July. This has been and will continue to be a difficult journey for my daughter as well as her husband and myself as her caregivers. Those difficulties are physical, mental, as well as financial. This entire process is costly and requires so many additional expenses such as daily travel to UAMS, food, medications, co-pays, one requirement is a new dishwasher. Aps her caregiver Devon is unable to work so the income at this stage is limited. I know there will be additional expenses that arise and unforeseen costs. My daughter is not very comfortable asking for help in any capacity be it physical or financial, but anything offered would be greatly appreciated. Our ultimate goal is to get her into a long-term remission that will sustain her until they have a cure for this terrible cancer. We all want her back to her healthy happy life and building new memories along the way. We know that God is with us on this journey and we have been blessed with such an amazing support system and prayer warriors in this fight.
