About this fundraiser

Stroke survivor is needing help, please.

Good morning. I’m a stroke survivor. I moved to Mississippi 4 years ago for a girlfriend. She’s also disabled. She had to moved back with her elderly parents to care for them. So now I’m completely alone in a state where I don’t know anyone. I’m a 57 permanently disabled single man. I’ve always been able to take care of myself. But with this polar vortex, my disability check just isn’t enough for my utilities. I’m embarrassed to ask, but my electric and water are both going to be cut off at the beginning of next month. My electric bill is over $500 and my water bill is $127.00. I also need to get a few pot pies to make it until the 3rd when my check comes. I lost both my parents in 2018. So I don’t have anyone to ask for help. The local charities that can help need me to go there and sign, but without transportation, that is impossible. Again, I’m so sorry to ask for your help, but I’m in a bind. Please help me. If you’d like to know more about me, feel free to ask. I’m an open book. I do have bigger wishes for things like a used reliable truck or car so that I can get to dr. appointments and grocery stores, (and physical therapy because I’ve let my stroke side atrophy), but right now, I am focused on keeping the utilities on and for food for me and my deaf dog. Thank you for reading this.
