Many people in Maryville know and love Sue Williams. She is the owner of New Beginnings, a thrift store located on Montvale Road that she started in her garage when her late husband was having health issues. She closed after one month of business due to theft and an accident that damaged the store, and she then lost her husband suddenly right before re-opening at the end of 2022. Over the years, Sue has survived 4 heart attacks and 2 strokes and she has experienced her fair share of new beginnings. Yesterday a fire destroyed two storage buildings in her backyard and destroyed the outside wall of the back of her house. Thankfully, nobody was hurt as they fought to keep the fire from overtaking the entire home. Unfortunately, when her late husband got sick, he canceled their homeowners insurance. Needless to say the repairs will be costly and will prevent her from being able to work for awhile. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
