I’m sharing this on behalf of a dear friend who is going through an incredibly overwhelming and painful custody situation, and she truly needs community support right now. She would never create a fundraiser like this for herself, she’s far too humble and focused on her kids, which is why I’m doing it for her. No mother should have to face this much stress alone.

My friend is a loving, fun, and deeply nurturing mom; the kind of parent who brings play, silliness, and warmth into everything she does. She’s also a child therapist, and she pours that same gentleness and attunement into her own children. But she’s been navigating an extremely difficult co-parenting dynamic that has taken a heavy emotional toll on her and the kids. The children have expressed fear and discomfort in ways that are not being fully heard, despite her doing everything possible to support them.

She has followed every step the professionals have advised; documenting concerns, seeking guidance, and staying child-focused through all of this. Still, the system hasn’t been able to offer the level of safety or stability her children need right now.

On top of the emotional strain, she’s been carrying almost all of the financial responsibilities for her household and her children entirely on her own. Between caring for three kids, maintaining their home, covering daily expenses, and managing substantial legal costs just to keep them safe, the financial pressure has become far more than one person should be expected to handle.
