About this fundraiser

As hard as it is to ask for help and put our business out there for the world to judge, my family and I have reached a moment where we truly cannot manage on our own. We recently lost my dad, and adjusting to life without him has been heartbreaking. He was not only the backbone of our family, he was also the main provider and source of income, and also the one who took care of every repair, every home project, and every need that came up along the way. Losing him has been incredibly heartbreaking and has left a void we feel in every part of our lives.

For years, my dad’s health continued to decline even after a life-saving kidney transplant. He later lost his eyesight, developed tremors, had many mini strokes and faced numerous unexplained medical challenges that landed him in the hospital regularly, all while we also walked with him through the difficult journey of dementia. Our focus became caring for him, and over time, many home repairs were put on hold. We knew things were getting worse, but we didn’t realize just how severe the damage was.

Recently, we were given devastating news: our plumbing system has deteriorated so badly that major repairs are required — including replacing broken underground pipes and digging into the city road. The estimated cost is $19,000–$25,000, far beyond anything our family can afford. The emotional and financial strain of my dad’s care has taken a toll, and combined with my mom’s limited fixed income and her own health challenges, has left us overwhelmed and in dire need of help. My mom’s house is her safe haven, and it’s devastating to see her worry about how she’ll manage such a huge expense on her own.

We’ve been doing everything we can as a family to support her, but the situation has become more than any of us can manage. Our washing machine and dishwasher barely work, and the bathtubs take hours to drain. These daily struggles make it even harder as we grieve and try to find our footing again.

We are turning to our community because we don’t have anywhere else to turn. Any help — whether through a donation, sharing our story, or offering words of encouragement — would mean the world to us. Your kindness will help restore stability to our home, ease the financial burden on my mom, and allow our family the space we need to heal after such a profound loss. Every donation will go directly toward repairing the plumbing in my mom’s house, helping her stay safe and comfortable during this difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering supporting our family. If you know us, you know this request does not come lightly — but your generosity would make a difference we will never forget.
