In partnership with Pious Projects, the Asad Sisters—Leena, Amanda, and Loren—are dedicated to providing urgent support to orphaned children in Gaza. Together, we are raising funds to ensure these children receive essential care—food, shelter, clothing, and education.
The Story:
A child’s laughter should echo through the walls of a loving home, not be drowned out by the sounds of destruction. Tiny feet should run freely on soft grass, not stumble over rubble. A child's world should be filled with bedtime stories, warm embraces, and dreams of a bright future—not the nightmares of loss and war.
Yet, for at least 17,000 children in Gaza, these simple blessings have been ripped away. According to UNICEF, they have lost their parents, their security, their childhood. A generation of orphans, left to navigate a world that has stolen everything from them.
More than 38,000 Palestinian children have been orphaned by Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023, according to a Health Ministry official.
Before this war, Gaza was already filled with orphaned children. Now, that number has soared to an unimaginable scale. The four orphanages that once stood as sanctuaries have now turned into shelters for the displaced, leaving these children even more vulnerable.
Where do they sleep? Who holds them when they cry? Who ensures they have food, water, clothing, or school supplies? Who tells them they are loved, that they are seen, that their lives matter?
What can we do?
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever takes in an orphan among the Muslims to raise, feed, and give drink to, Allah will admit him into Paradise, without a doubt, unless he has committed an unforgivable sin."
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1917, Hasan)
For just $50, you can sponsor an orphan for an entire month. That’s the cost of a single meal for many of us, yet it can change the life of a child who has lost everything.
We do not have to be mothers or fathers to feel the weight of their suffering. We do not have to know their names to recognize their pain. But as an Ummah, as a people of compassion and faith, we cannot stand by while our children wander hopelessly. If we have the means to provide relief, it becomes our duty to do so.
Their childhood should not end in tragedy. Their story does not have to be one of loss alone. With your help, we can give them hope.
Donate today. Be their lifeline.
Every donation, every prayer, and every effort you make brings hope to a child who has lost everything. May Allah (SWT) bless you immensely for standing with them, for answering their cries, and for being a source of light in their darkest moments. The reward for caring for an orphan is nothing less than Paradise, and we pray that Allah grants you all the blessings you seek and more.
With love and gratitude,
Leena, Amanda & Loren
