Honoring a Hero: Help Support William Craig Sr.’s Final Journey
On September 30, 2003, William Craig Sr. was struck by a semi-truck while selflessly assisting victims at the scene of a tragic accident in Mayes County, Oklahoma. His courageous actions—pulling people from danger—came at a great personal cost. He suffered severe injuries and ultimately lost his lower right leg.
Despite this life-altering event, William persevered. As a devoted deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in Tulsa and a widower for the past nine years, he has continued to live with grace, faith, and resilience.
Now, William faces his final chapter. Due to his physical condition, he requires 24-hour hospice care. Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover room and board for hospice patients, and he cannot return to a Skilled Nursing Facility. The estimated cost of care is $20,000 per month.
We do not expect William to make it to Christmas. We are preparing for the possibility that he may pass before Thanksgiving.
If you feel moved by his story, please consider offering support—whether through donations, sharing his story, or simply keeping him in your prayers. Every act of kindness honors the life of a man who gave so much to others.
