hello, I’m an RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) in Alberta and I have come across thermography as a tool to run examinations for musculoskeletal pain and inflammation. I’m currently training to become a clinical technician but I need to purchase my own camera and equipment.  The reason why it costs so much is because it is the medical equipment’s software.  I can run exams anywhere in Canada and upload them to the lab with that software and no matter how far I am from the doctors reading these reports and findings, they are able to submit them back to me through the software, getting the results back to my client in a timely manner.  Thermography has been used to detect inflammation and blood circulation in the body as well as early detection of breast cancer. it is non-invasive way to screen your body for optimal health. As an RMT it will be another tool I can offer my clients with chronic and debilitating pain. If there is findings detected that need attention, the report goes with the client and can be used to speed up the process in early detection to a diagnosis to whatever their findings presents When they seek out their doctor or specialist. It will allow me to offer another way for clients to get medical help in remote locations where doctors are hard to come by and wait lists for MRI scans and ultrasounds are lengthy.  This medical equipment is a non-invasive way for people to screen their health for any signs of inflammation in the body which is a precursor to disease. You can not prevent disease if you do not know what it is you are preventing. Thermography tests have shown that tests run showing abnormalities and inflammation in the body that 70% of these clients had zero symptoms known to them. They were able to work on those findings as a result in prevention.  Thermography is an alternative approach to helping people find answers when they have none in their existing health condition, and chronic pain.
