💔 Help Support Tristan’s Long Road to Recovery 💔

Our family continues to face an unimaginable challenge.

On Friday, October 10th, our nephew Tristan Castro (age 28) was in a devastating dirt bike accident while riding at his dad’s ranch. He suffered a fractured sternum, a thoracic spinal injury, and paralysis.

Tristan is a Commercial A/C technician — a hardworking young man who now faces the hardest battle of his life: learning to live without the use of his legs. Doctors have told us the likelihood of him walking again is extremely slim.

✨ Update on Tristan:
Tristan has been moved to a rehabilitation center, where he’s working hard every day to learn how to take care of himself and adapt to life in a wheelchair. He’s currently being fitted for his own chair and learning all the intricacies of living with paralysis.

He’ll soon be going home to live with his parents, Mike and Stacy Castro, who are lovingly preparing their home for his return. While Tristan has experienced some spontaneous leg movement during therapy, doctors believe these are likely nerve spasms, and it remains uncertain if he will regain any feeling in his legs.

His recovery journey will continue to be long, difficult, and costly. Tristan does not have health care coverage, and even after leaving the hospital, he’ll require extensive rehabilitation, home modifications, mobility equipment, and lifelong medical care.
