Hello, my name is Shemeika Davis, and I am reaching out for support during an incredibly difficult time for my family. I am a single mother of five wonderful children, and while I’ve always tried to manage everything on my own, recent circumstances have made it nearly impossible.

My husband was recently incarcerated, and while we await his court date, I am left to carry the weight of our household alone. As the recession continues to strain the economy, it’s become harder to keep up with our daily needs. To make matters worse, our car was repossessed, leaving us with even fewer resources. I am now behind on bills, struggling to make ends meet.

I never thought I would be in a position where I would need to ask for help, but life has taken an unexpected turn. My mother always said, “a closed mouth doesn’t get fed,” so I’m reaching out to ask for your kindness and support.
