My name is Janell, and I’m a single mom in a small rural town who is doing everything possible to keep working and take care of my two kids.  To support us, I drive over 30 miles each way for work, but in the last couple of years my cars have broken down multiple times, and the “new to me” car I finally managed to get has now stopped running too. Right now I have no reliable way to get to work, and my basic bills are falling behind—especially electric, water, and internet, which my kids need for their schoolwork and everyday needs.  Winter has hit our area hard, my electric bill has gone up, and with no income coming in, I’m at a point where I can’t catch up on my own.  I’m also facing the holidays without being able to do anything for Christmas for my kids, which is heartbreaking as a parent. I am raising funds for two urgent needs:To get current on essential household bills so our power, water, and internet stay on. To repair my car—or, if repair isn’t possible, to get a modest, reliable vehicle so I can get back to work consistently and provide for my family again. Any amount truly helps, whether it’s a few dollars toward a utility bill or a contribution toward car repairs or a replacement vehicle.  Your support would mean my kids can stay warm, keep up with school, and that I can return to work instead of falling further behind. Asking for help like this is very hard for me; I’ve always tried to handle everything on my own and rarely reach out, even when things are tough.
