My identical twin daughters and I started “Howe’s The Hike” on YouTube in 2016 to document our backpacking trips together. As the length of our trips grew, so did our content, viewers and our infamous long form videos.

In November of 2023 I was the first ever Youtube Creator inducted into the Royal Canadian Geographical Society College of Fellows for showcasing these remote backcountry trails to the world. This amazing honour and validation of my style of work has inspired me to take the next few years to focus on backpacking content creation full time, exposing even more iconic and remote trails in Canada and the US.

This year I want to explore the FAR NORTH. Unlike other trips, this will require a lot of rather expensive travel logistics just to get on the trailhead.

I'm hoping those who enjoy our videos and those who want to experience backpacking in very remote and perhaps dangerous areas from the comfort of their home, will help me find that trailheads!
