First and foremost, I ask that you keep Katelyn Williams’s family and loved ones in your prayers. She was tragically killed in a car accident on April 25th.

I’m a wedding DJ, and Katelyn and her fiancé, Dustin, booked me nearly a year ago for their wedding this June. Like many small business owners, when I received their final payment last month, it was quickly put toward bills and day-to-day expenses for my family. As a father of seven and our household’s sole provider, there isn’t much cushion.

To make matters more difficult, my wife recently totaled our family vehicle, adding unexpected financial strain.

Dustin has not asked me for a refund—but I want to do the right thing and return it to him.
