Have you ever met someone that has spent their entire life helping other people? They are a rare breed!

My friend and meditation teacher Racquel, is one of those people. She has spent countless hours helping to heal people. She has helped them work through every kind of trauma imaginable! She also helped me during my divorce. Truly I don’t know where I would have ended up if it were not for her help and mentorship.

Living in Los Angeles for 12 years was very difficult for me and I ended up homeless twice! Very few people know this as I had a very special person help me during those times to ensure I was safe and had a place to rest my head. That special person was Racquel.

Today I am doing my best to pay that friend back by ensuring she has a safe place to rest her head as well. She is being evicted from her apartment and her last day there is 8/31. She cannot sign up for any homeless services until Monday 9/2 at the earliest because they are closed on the weekend, and to be honest I am not sure she will get any help from the government, but I can at least try to get her a safe place to stay this weekend until she can apply for services.

This fundraiser is to help pay for a motel for Racquel this weekend. Prices for hotels/motels in LA are expensive!
