About this fundraiser

hello all, my name is alayna, one of devlins many close friends. I create this fundraiser in hopes that we can all come together once more for a beautiful purpose, to give our sweet boy a headstone for his final resting spot. <3

Devlin Shay was just 20 years old at the time of his heartbreaking, unexpected, and untimely passing. Still a baby like so many of us! Devlin is described by myself and others as selfless, compassionate, loving, pure, honest, silly, sneaky(in a good way!), intelligent, giving, and the most wise to name just a few of the millions of words to describe his one of a kind beautiful soul. he was the kind of man who took you under his wing even if he had things on his plate, the kind of person who would tell you like it is, whether you wanted to hear it or not because he cared that much about your future self.

”it had been a month since I’ve been to visit until last night before I drove home, and I didn’t realize how I could go to you ready to burst but how I leave feeling so peaceful. 🩵 talking to you makes me feel like you’re there and I live for that. Wish you’d stop lagging on visiting me for the first time but I know that you’ll visit when you know I need it. i love coming to see you and seeing the flowers without cease fill your resting spot. You’re so loved my boy, I know you knew. Gosh I love & miss you forever & a day. 💘” - Alayna Cameron

“Devlin existed! Everyday we will carry his remembrance. I loved the way when you cry in front of him he’s silent and allows you to feel it out without telling you it’s okay, he acknowledged feelings like that he always knew when someone wasn’t okay.  And then give the best hugs.
He’ll be our reason why we get up everyday, cause life is unpredictable and short.” - Rosanna Peltier

“I came to see you today quack. I miss you. I’ll come see you again soon I promise. You helped me so much today when I needed to get so much off my chest. I love you, and as you can see so do so many others. We all miss you heavily. xoxo” - Kylee Van Inwagen

and finally

“I never thought I would have to learn this very real and hard life lesson. Please hug your loved ones and let them know they are loved. We never know when ,how or why God calls them home. My son was such a loving, caring and beautiful energy to everyone he befriended. Devlin Peltier I didn’t get to say goodbye and give you all the xoxo. I know I will see you again. Life will never be the same again without your beautiful presence.  I love you forever ” - Amanda Pelter❤️
