Four months ago, everything changed when my husband took a serious fall and severely injured his shoulder. Surgery was one month ago and his recovery is going to be a long road, with at least another 16 weeks of physical therapy ahead of him. Long-term disability is running out. 

I unexpectedly lost my job in retail for what I believe to be Medical discrimination. I am actively searching for work, but despite my efforts, I have not yet been able to find another position.

We are facing the possibility of falling behind on our mortgage and essential bills. We aren't asking for help because we don't want to work—we desperately want to work and regain our independence. We are asking because right now, we are simply running out of options.
