My name is Rebecca Lynn Self, and I’m urgently reaching out to my Princeton community. Last week, a hidden sub-floor plumbing leak in our bathroom on Peachtree Ln caused toxic black mold to spread inside our living room drywall and floor joists, making the air quality in our home dangerous for my young children.
When the environmental mitigation team tested the space, they declared the room hazardous until full structural removal is completed. Renter's insurance denied immediate coverage due to a 'slow internal seepage clause'.
The Financial Breakdown:
Industrial Mold Extraction & Dehumidification: $3,600
Drywall & Flooring Replacement: $1,200
Total Urgent Need: $4,800
As an hourly retail associate, I don't have this emergency cash sitting around. I am asking for a hand up to make our living space safe and breathable again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
