My name is Jean Allison Richardson, and I'm reaching out to you today because I need help. I've been fighting kidney disease for 11 years, and every single day is a battle that tests not just my body, but my spirit and my finances.

Right now, I'm on dialysis seven days a week, eight hours a day. That's the reality of my life. Dialysis keeps me alive, but it also keeps me exhausted. The treatments are relentless, and they don't stop for holidays, birthdays, or better days. I go in week after week, month after month, just trying to survive.

Beyond the medical struggle, there's another fight happening every day—the fight to pay my bills. When you're dealing with a chronic illness like kidney disease, the expenses never end. There are copays, medications, transportation to treatments, and all the regular bills that don't care whether you're sick or well. Some days, I'm choosing between paying one bill or another because there simply isn't enough money to cover everything. It's a daily stress that weighs on me as much as the disease itself.

I'm not giving up, though. I still have hope that one day everything will come together. I still believe that things can get better. But I can't do this alone anymore, and I'm asking for your help.

I'm organizing a fundraiser with fried chicken and spaghetti dinners right here in Beloit because I need to raise $5,023 to help me get through this season of my life. Every dollar will go directly toward helping me stay afloat—helping me pay the bills that pile up while I'm fighting to stay alive.
