About this fundraiser

On Saturday, August 22nd, my Uncle Jimmy passed away.

He was surrounded by his kids (who may not have been biologically his, but whom he took in and loved as his own), his sister, who had been by his side and advocating for him as his healthcare proxy for a long time, and me. We are just a few of the many people who loved him dearly.

While Jimmy’s battle with his health had been a long one, losing him was still unexpected and incredibly hard. After everything he had been through in the ICU, we are thankful he was surrounded by people who loved him during his last moments. His ICU care team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital was truly wonderful, and I’m grateful he had their care and support as well.

Jimmy was truly a pillar in his community, and that has been so clear through all of the messages and stories from people whose lives he touched. His presence and the love he gave to others will be deeply missed, not just by our family, but by people all over the United States.

I’m asking, if anyone feels led to, to help us with the cost of having Jimmy cremated and giving him a small, meaningful memorial. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, but please know there is absolutely no expectation to give. We are simply grateful for the love, prayers, and support we have received throughout this difficult time.

If you’re unable to donate, prayers for our family and his friends as we navigate this loss are more than enough. 🤍 Thank you all for loving and remembering Jimmy with us.
