Bree is having surgery for Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS) on July 2nd at Harborview in Seattle. MALS is a compression syndrome where the Celiac Nerve bundle and celiac artery is being compressed during breathing by the median arcuate ligament. Every breath compresses that nerve bundle. Every meal is painful as digestion increases blood flow to her abdomen through the celiac artery. The compression damages the nerve bundle causing increasing pain. She has spent countless hours in the ER to try to get her debilitating pain under control. Her muscles are deteriorating because of the fear of pain when she eats.
Bree is 35 and mom of two amazing little boys. She wants to be able to play and run around with them again. She misses having a life and functioning like a normal human. Bree is an amazing young woman that loves people deeply. She wears her heart on her sleeve and she would give the shirt off her back to help others.
Money donated will go toward her travel and lodging expenses while in Seattle.
