My father is on hospice with stage 4 terminal bone cancer, and his time is running out. He's in Lubbock, Texas, and I'm here in Polk County, Florida. As I watch him decline, I'm facing a reality that feels impossible to navigate alone.

When he passes, I'll have just 72 hours to claim his body and handle all the arrangements. I need to be there for him during this final chapter, but I'm not in a position to make it happen on my own. My car isn't reliable enough for the long drive to Texas and back, and I don't have the financial resources to fly out to be by his side, arrange everything, and cover his cremation.
