Hi, my name is Michael, and I am organizing this fundraiser for myself in an attempt to cover medical expenses for a second hip surgery (not the same hip). Because of the cost of out-of-pocket expenses from my first surgery I am unable to get a second surgery until that has been paid first. I am a veteran that recently retired from the civilian sector 4 years ago. Although ”retired” I am no longer able to continue working to support myself without this second surgery.
My goal is to raise $12000 to cover medical expenses (for both surgeries) and bills for 3-4 months as I recover (based on the first recovery time).  At this point I’ve exhausted all my emergency funds to keep up with my existing bills.

 Right now, I am unable to work, and the medical bills are piling up fast. Insurance covered a portion, but out-of-pocket costs are overwhelming our family.  We are hoping to raise $12,000 to help pay for medical expenses (for both surgeries) and basic living expenses for 3-4 months as I recover (based on the first recovery time) .
