HELP US BRING “GLOVE” HOME

Support Shannon D. Hixon’s Fight for a Second Chance

Our family and friends are coming together to ask for your help in the fight to bring our loved one, Shannon D. Hixon, affectionately known to many of us as “Glove,” home.

Shannon is currently serving a federal life sentence. After years of trying to understand his case, conviction, and sentence, we are continuing to pursue every legitimate avenue available to have his case independently reviewed.

We are raising funds to support a comprehensive post-conviction and clemency review, including efforts to present Shannon’s case to experienced attorneys, advocates, and individuals involved in the federal clemency process, including Alice Marie Johnson, the White House Pardon Czar.

Our goal is simple:

We want Shannon’s entire case reviewed from beginning to end by people who understand federal post-conviction law, sentencing, and executive clemency.

We are not asking anyone to ignore the seriousness of Shannon’s case, and we are not promising an outcome that no one can guarantee.

We are asking for an opportunity.

An opportunity for experienced people to examine the complete record.

An opportunity to determine whether every legal issue has been properly explored.

An opportunity to examine Shannon’s life sentence and determine whether there is a legitimate path toward relief.

And ultimately, an opportunity for Glove to receive meaningful consideration for a second chance.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Taking on a federal post-conviction case requires much more than writing letters.

We need assistance obtaining and organizing court records, trial transcripts, sentencing records, discovery materials, expert reviews, attorney consultations, post-conviction legal analysis, and preparation of a professional clemency presentation.

Funds raised through this campaign will be used to support legitimate expenses associated with legal review, records, investigation, expert consultation, post-conviction advocacy, and clemency efforts on Shannon’s behalf.

Our family has already begun organizing Shannon’s case into a comprehensive Post-Conviction Attorney Review Packet so attorneys and advocates can understand the history of his case and the questions we are asking them to examine.

We are prepared to do the work.

But we cannot do it alone.

THIS IS ABOUT FAMILY, HOPE, AND A SECOND CHANCE

To those of us who know him, Shannon is more than a federal case number.

He is Glove.

He is our brother.
He is our friend.
He is our family.

He is someone we love, someone we have not forgotten, and someone we refuse to stop fighting for.

A life sentence means that without some form of relief, Shannon may never have the opportunity to walk through his family’s door again.

That is why this effort means so much to us.

We want qualified people to look at his case, look at the person he is today, examine his entire history, and determine whether there is a legitimate path toward bringing him home.
