UPDATE as of 6/15 -  Heather is learning how to navigate with all of the needed medical equipment she requires to move around as she is unable to put any weight on her leg at all or her wrist/hand on the left side.  Heather said sitting with both knees bent and her feet touching the floor was a milestone for a few moments this past week!  Daily Occupational and Physical Therapy continues and this week  she will have her post-op visits later this week to see if she can be released to travel HOME!  Please continue to pray for all of the details concerning this, as it will be an exhausting and painful journey home from all of her injuries!  THANK YOU for your generous donations that have helped tremendously in securing the immediate medical equipment needs for Heather and have paid the most urgent bills at home while she has had to take off work.

UPDATE as of 6/8 - Next steps towards getting back home occurred yesterday!! It was a long day, but Heather is extremely thankful for the progress, even through immense pain.  Please pray for her care-takers over these next few weeks as Heather must stay near the hospital for post-op visits and OT and PT.  Again, no weight on her left leg or arm for the next 12 weeks; the leg surgery wasn't your “typical” surgery and the doctor said one of the most painful to recover from. HUGE thank you from Heather for everyone who has continued to pray, given financially or reached out to her.  From me (Rebecca) - THANK YOU to everyone who has given to my dear sister & friend - your support means more than words could ever convey.

UPDATE as of 6/4 - Heather has made it through 3 surgeries so far.  There have been ups and downs of figuring out medicines and comfort levels and learning how to just sit up in bed with all of her injuries and now being checked for bed sores (that's a new one!).  BUT SHE IS ALIVE and for that she is grateful and so are so many others as Heather is a bright light in this chaotic world!     Please keep PRAYING as this will be a marathon in terms of recovery.  Physical and Occupational Therapy will determine next steps as she is still over 800 miles from home.  Heather asked me to tell everyone a huge THANK YOU for anyone who has reached out, given and prayed.  She is unable to respond/update each one, but is super grateful for your encouragement during this time.

ORIGINAL POST (Monday 5/30) Heather, who is raising 5 amazing kiddos on her own - was in an accident this past Friday 5/29 that has already required two surgeries, with another on the horizon.

We are asking for donations to support IMMEDIATE financial needs of her household and for assistance with mounting medical bills.  Heather is self-employed and it will be a while before things are back to normal.

Right now, she is asking for prayers for surgery, un-eventful recovery time/ healing and a recovery path that will allow her to go home sooner rather than later.

Thank you for your consideration.
