On behalf of our family, my husband and I are reaching out with heavy hearts. On June 24th, 2026—what was supposed to be his 68th birthday—we lost a truly wonderful man, Eddie James Eads. Eddie was a dedicated father to his daughter Rachel, a beloved brother, a proud uncle, and a loyal friend. Many in our community knew him from his years of hard work at the landfill. He was a simple, good-hearted man who was completely content watching an old western, spending time with his best friend Chris Foster, or sitting with his loyal dog, Jiffy. 

Eddie’s passing has brought immense grief alongside an urgent financial crisis. In his final days, his medical insurance ran out and no longer covered his hospital stay, so he was sent home, where he ultimately passed away. Now, we are facing an incredibly tight timeline to give him the dignified send-off he deserves. We are trying to raise funds to hold his funeral next week and ease this crushing weight for his daughter, Rachel.
