Recently, my partner Vann lost her grandmother, and my heart has been breaking knowing that she is going through this grief while I’m so far away from her.

Being long-distance is difficult even on ordinary days, but right now it feels unbearable. When someone you love is hurting, all you want to do is be beside them and hold them, comfort them, help with the little things, and make sure they don’t have to carry everything alone. Right now, I can’t do that from where I am.

I’m trying to raise around $800 to help cover the cost of a plane ticket to Arizona so I can get to Vann as soon as possible and be there for her during this incredibly painful time.

The money raised will go toward my airfare and the necessary travel expenses involved in getting to Arizona. Because this is something I’m hoping to do as soon as I possibly can, any help toward reaching the goal quickly would mean more to me than I can properly put into words.

This fundraiser will ultimately benefit Vann by helping me get there to support her while she grieves. I know I can’t take away the pain of losing someone she loves, but I can make sure she doesn’t have to face that pain alone at night.

If you are able to donate, even a small amount would bring me one step closer to her. And if you aren’t in a position to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.

Asking for help like this isn’t easy for me, but being there for the person I love is incredibly important to me. I hate knowing that she’s hurting and that there are hundreds of miles between us when all I want is to wrap my arms around her and give her a shoulder to cry on.
