On December 30th, 2025, my mom, my little brother, and I were struck by a speeding drunk driver in a horrific car accident. The collision sent our car spinning out of control, and in the impact, I suffered severe facial trauma that knocked out my three front teeth and destroyed my gums. At 17 years old, I am forced to deal with the devastating physical and emotional consequences of this event every single day, facing bullying and unfair stereotypes because of my injuries. For the last eight months, we have been trapped in a nightmare. The driver’s insurance refuses to take responsibility, and because the local authorities in North Hollywood/Burbank failed to file a police report, we have no legal leverage to hold them accountable. To make matters worse, my medical insurance does not cover the permanent implants I desperately need to restore my smile and my confidence. I am far too young to live without my front teeth, and the cost of the necessary reconstruction is estimated between $25,000 and $36,000.
