I never imagined I would be in this position, but today I am asking for help during one of the hardest times of my life.
I was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) after seeking medical care for abdominal swelling. My lab results were so critical that I was sent directly to the emergency room. After a bone marrow biopsy and more testing, the diagnosis was confirmed. I spent over a month hospitalized as doctors began urgent treatment.
I am currently undergoing outpatient chemotherapy while doctors search for a bone marrow donor match. Once a match is found, I will begin treatment at City of Hope for a stem cell transplant. Over the coming months, I will face additional treatments, stem cell replacement therapy, ongoing blood transfusions, and intensive medical care.
This journey has been overwhelming in every way physically, emotionally, and financially.
In addition to the medical challenges, our family will be relocating from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles so I can be closer to treatment. This major transition means finding new healthcare providers, arranging caregiving support, and rebuilding stability for our family during an incredibly uncertain time.
I am asking for support to help cover moving expenses and essential day-to-day living costs, including:
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Meal delivery and groceries
- House cleaning and household support
- Basic self-care and recovery needs
- Creating stability and security for my son during this difficult time
Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean more than words can express. Your support will help ease some of the financial burden so I can focus fully on fighting this illness and healing.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be deeply appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, prayers, encouragement, and support during this incredibly difficult chapter of our lives.
