Help Us Give Emmalyn the Gift of Independence

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

We are reaching out today with hopeful hearts to ask for your support in helping our sweet 7-year-old daughter, Emmalyn, receive a specially trained service dog through Macy's Autism Pals in Brunswick, Georgia.

Emmalyn has faced more challenges in her seven years than many people experience in a lifetime. Two years ago, she suffered the heartbreaking loss of her father, a loss that forever changed her world. December 2023, she was diagnosed with Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID), a rare immune disorder that has required ongoing medical care and countless doctor's appointments.

More recently, Emmalyn has also been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. These diagnoses have helped us better understand the struggles she faces every day, including overwhelming anxiety, difficulty coping with new situations, sensory challenges, and fear during medical procedures.

A professionally trained autism service dog would be life-changing for Emmalyn. This incredible companion would help:

Reduce her anxiety and provide comfort during overwhelming situations.

Assist her in managing the daily challenges of autism.

Help her remain calm and cooperative during necessary medical procedures and appointments.

Increase her confidence, independence, and overall quality of life.

Provide safety, emotional support, and a constant source of unconditional companionship.

To make this dream a reality, we must raise over $25,000 within the next 24 months to cover the cost of raising and professionally training Emmalyn's service dog through Macy's Autism Pals.

Any funds raised beyond the $25,000 goal will be used to help cover the transportation, lodging, and other travel expenses associated with attending the required training sessions and follow-up visits in Brunswick, Georgia.

We know this is a significant goal, but we also know that incredible things happen when a community comes together. No donation is too small—every dollar brings Emmalyn one step closer to having a loyal companion who can help her navigate the world with greater confidence and security.

If you are unable to give financially, you can still make a tremendous difference by sharing Emmalyn's story with your family, friends, coworkers, church, or community. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more to us than words can express.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Emmalyn's story and for considering supporting our family during this journey. Your kindness and generosity will help give our little girl the opportunity to live a safer, happier, and more independent life.

With sincere gratitude,

Brown/Patterson Family
