My fiancé and I are reaching out for help during one of the hardest times of our lives. For the past three months, we have been living without electricity. Every day has become a struggle just to meet our basic needs.

Without power, we've lost food repeatedly and have had to spend what little money and food assistance we receive on ice just to try to keep food from spoiling. Even then, much of it has gone to waste. There have been days when we've barely had enough food to eat, and we're struggling to afford food for our dogs and keep them comfortable during the heat.

To make matters worse, we received a water disconnect notice while already dealing with the loss of electricity. We were recently told that our electric account cannot be restored until a balance of approximately $5,000 is paid. We believe part of this amount is related to a previous tenant's bill that was added to our account, but regardless, we have been unable to get our power turned back on.

I was recently approved for disability benefits, which is a blessing, but it does not provide enough immediate help to resolve this crisis. We also have no transportation, making it even harder to access resources, attend appointments, buy groceries, and work toward getting back on our feet.

We are asking for help to restore our electricity, keep our water connected, buy food, care for our dogs, and cover basic living expenses while we work through this difficult situation. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference in our lives. If you're unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser would mean the world to us.
