My mother means everything to me. She's always been the strong one, the one who held our family together through thick and thin. But over the past time, I've watched her face challenges that have shaken us all to our core. She's been in and out of the hospital more times than I can count, and there was a moment when we weren't even sure she'd make it—when she was on life support and we were holding our breath, praying for a miracle.
That experience changed everything for all of us. Seeing her connected to machines, fighting for every breath, made us realize how precious life really is and how fragile it can be. But she's a fighter. She always has been. And somehow, against the odds, she pulled through.
The battle didn't end there, though. After that terrifying time on life support, she had to undergo physical therapy to regain her mobility and relearn how to speak clearly. It was heartbreaking to watch someone so vibrant struggle with things that used to come so naturally to her. The woman who used to be constantly on her feet, who had so much to say, suddenly had to relearn how to walk and how to form words. Every small victory—taking a few steps, speaking a full sentence—felt enormous and reminded us of her incredible strength and determination.
She stayed at a therapy and nursing home for as long as she could, working hard every single day to get better, to get stronger, to get back home. The staff there helped her, but nothing could replace her own will to recover. She pushed herself day after day, determined to return to her own house and the life she knew.
And she did make it home. We celebrated that milestone with such joy and relief. But her health journey hasn't ended. She keeps having to go back to the hospital and the therapy facility for ongoing care. It's a cycle that doesn't seem to stop—one moment she's home, and the next we're back to hospital visits and therapy sessions. While I'm grateful she's getting the medical attention she needs to survive and manage her conditions, it means she hasn't been able to keep up with the bills that come with maintaining her house and the land that means so much to her. The bills have been piling up, slowly falling behind, and the stress of it all is adding weight to an already heavy load she's already carrying.
I can't fix her health challenges—I wish I could with all my heart. But I can help her keep the roof over her head and the land she loves. I'm asking for help to catch up on her house and land bills before they become a crisis we can't recover from. The bills haven't reached a crisis point yet, but without help, they will soon. She's fought so hard to survive and come home. Now I want to help her keep her home.
If you're able to contribute anything at all, it would mean the world to our family. Every dollar brings us closer to giving her one less thing to worry about while she focuses on her health and recovery. Thank you for believing in her, for believing in us, and for helping us through this difficult chapter.
