I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help, but life has taken an unexpected turn, and I am struggling to get through it on my own.
Recently, I suffered a severe ankle injury that has left me unable to work and significantly limited my mobility. The timing could not have been worse—I had only been at my new job for one month, which means I am not eligible for short-term disability benefits or other income protection. At this point, I am uncertain whether my job will still be waiting for me when I recover.
As I face several months of healing, I am trying to obtain an electric mobility scooter so I can maintain some independence and continue caring for my family. Along with the medical challenges, I am also falling behind on everyday expenses and bills due to the sudden loss of income. The money donated will be used for replacement income, medical bills not covered, prescriptions and coverage till I am able to obtain a full time job again.
My family is already facing significant challenges. My husband is a combat veteran who lives with complex PTSD, and I am also the primary caregiver for my mother, who has been diagnosed with early-onset dementia. Between caring for them and now dealing with my own injury, I am overwhelmed and worried about how we will make it through the coming months.
It is difficult for me to ask for help, but right now I truly need it. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help ease some of the financial burden and allow me to focus on healing and caring for my loved ones. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story would also mean so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support, kindness, or prayers you can offer. I will be forever grateful.
Please add me to your tehillium circles if possible as well …Yael Chaya Bas Sarah.
