James was super excited to start his second year for the Menasha High School football team. He was working out every day, attending every football related event, and had nothing but love for his coaches and teammates. Unfortunately, after working out so much, he became strong enough to break his femur at the second practice of the year. He was in the middle of a fundraiser for his team when this happened and he wanted nothing more than to achieve his goal of selling 30 cards to get the Nike hoodie. James is one of the most amazing kids you could ever meet. He is active in sports, music, theater, gets amazing grades, and does everything that’s asked of him and beyond.
At this very moment he’s undergoing surgery to place a permanent rod in his leg. We have no doubt that he will recover and be able to play football next year but his injury will have him down for a while. Although his medical insurance covers most of his hospital bills it will not cover any physical therapy he may need. His mother will also have to miss some work to help take care of him in the next few months. James was also in the process of getting his drivers license so we would love to be able to help him with a car when he’s able to finally get it. Thank you for any help you are able to provide!
