About this fundraiser

Hello Everyone! Most of you know me as Amanda (or Manda), Kristyn’s sister. For those of you who don’t—well, that is who I am.

My sister (Kristyn) has never had the best immune system out of the three of us (she is the youngest). She gets sick a lot and has many allergy issues. However, she sure has the strongest will, a drive to survive, and one hell of a fight in her for anything life throws her way.

She has always been super talented, very smart, ambitious, and lets no obstacle stand in her way!

She has recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that has taken a toll on her physically, emotionally, and financially.

Physically, she is in a lot of pain. Her skin is very irritated, and the integrity of it in very sensitive areas has become very broken down. She was on medication to ease some of this, but she lost her insurance, and the medication is very expensive; therefore, she can no longer get it.

She is suffering terribly and hiding it very well for now.

Before I continue, let me explain that her husband lost his job which included the loss of their health insurance. They have two beautiful, smart, and sassy girls—Brielle (12) and Madison (5).

Kristyn has been working for the same company for 10 years as a contractor, but her position will not open up for her to be hired as a permanent employee. This means no health benefits, and any time off for her means no pay. As of right now, she is holding down her family of four—sick, in pain, not able to pay for medical care, medications, or to take any sick or personal time to take care of herself. But she stays strong, works hard, and puts her family first.

She silently hurts so as not to let her family see her break down. But everyone needs some help.

On an emotional level, Kristyn needs some help and relief. On a physical and medical level, this strong woman needs some help.

I watch her carry the weight of the world on her shoulders for her family and run to the ends of the world and back to make sure her children don’t even feel the impact of the struggle of their loss of income and insurance. She goes without the proper care she needs for herself to make sure her family has a roof over their heads and food in their bellies.

I want nothing but to try to do whatever I can to help my sister to be able to pay for medical testing, surgeries, treatments, monthly medications, and support, etc. What she does for everyone else to live comfortably, she deserves to have a chance to be healed and comfortable too.

My mother (Joyce) and I are coordinating this, so if you have any questions or would like to know more, please feel free to contact us. She does not know at this time that we are doing this, but by all means, sign your names to your donations so she knows you all have been a part in helping her heal.

Please help me to help her. Whatever you can, if you can, every little bit helps. We (my family, her, and her children) would be so grateful for your support. ❤️
