Hello dear friends and family - 

I’m writing this knowing times are incredibly hard, knowing we’re all struggling in our own facets of life and knowing how expensive life is now. But I’m writing this knowing also - my friend needs help. She doesn’t know I’ve created this, sent this out, and I’ve temporarily blocked her from social media as the last thing I’d ever want to do is embarrass her - but people need people. Life is not meant to take on alone - and I want to help support her! 

My best friend is an incredible mother to her two boys. She works two jobs, sacrifices endlessly, and does everything she can to provide a stable, loving home for her children. I know this because I’ve known her for many years and see it myself. She is hardworking, compassionate, and one of the strongest women I know.

For years, she gave her heart, loyalty, and devotion to a man struggling with drug addiction. Like so many who love someone battling addiction, she hoped things would get better. Instead, she found herself carrying the burden of his choices. His addiction has taken a devastating toll on her life and her family’s future.

Today, she is facing challenges no one should have to face alone. Her air conditioning has failed, leaving her family struggling through the heat - it’s been broken for two weeks.

On top of that, significant damage has been done to her home, making it impossible for her to sell the property in its current condition and move forward financially.

Despite everything, she continues to show up every day for her children. She keeps working. She keeps fighting. She keeps putting her boys first. But even the strongest people sometimes need support.

Knowing this, I didn’t even think twice, as she would do the same for me. We are raising funds to help cover critical home repairs, restore safe and livable conditions, repair or replace the air conditioning system, and provide some much-needed financial relief while she gets back on her feet.
