Honoring the Life of Our Father
On May 30, 2026, our father lost his battle with Stage 4 cancer and gained his peace. While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that his suffering has ended and that he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and honor that will never be forgotten. Our family is raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and the travel costs needed to bring him home to North Carolina, where he will be laid to rest in our family plot beside his daughter, our sister, Mary. My mother Becky, my brother Casey, my sister Jessica, myself, and our family will be traveling to North Carolina to honor his final wishes and say our final goodbyes.
To know our father was to know what true character looked like. He was the most honorable man you could ever meet. It didn’t matter where you came from, what you looked like, or what your circumstances were—he treated everyone with the same respect, kindness, and fairness. He never judged others and always believed people deserved dignity. He spent his entire life providing for his family. Whether he was building houses, working in fast food, or taking on whatever job was necessary, he did whatever it took to put food on the table and care for the people he loved. Even when life dealt him an unfair hand, he never gave up. Somehow, he always found a way to make things better. Family meant everything to him. He believed in respect, honesty, hard work, and treating people right. If someone needed help, he was there. I honestly can’t remember a time when he was asked for help and said no. So many people turned to him because they knew they could count on him. When he called you a friend, he would move heaven and earth for you. His impact reached far beyond our family. Everyone who spent time around him walked away a better person. The lessons he taught through his actions—about kindness, perseverance, integrity, and love—will stay with us forever.
I would not be the man I am today without my father. During this difficult time, we are asking for any help you can provide to assist with funeral costs and travel expenses so we can bring him home and lay him to rest with the dignity he deserves. If you are unable to donate, we would be grateful if you could share this fundraiser and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, support, and for helping us honor an incredible man whose memory will live on through everyone whose life he touched. With gratitude, Christian, Becky, Casey, Jessica, and Family
In Loving Memory
December 13, 1969 – May 30, 2026
“A great man leaves footprints on the hearts of those he loved. Dad, we will carry yours forever.”
His viewing is on Saturday at Mountcastle Funeral Home in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Im trying to raise as much as I can by Thursday is when they require payment in full 2 days prior to the service. He will then be transported to North Carolina hopefully by Wednesday of the following week to a funeral home in North Carolina to be buried with my sister, his daughter, Mary. If people could share or donate and say a prayer for My Father and our family during this difficult time I would greatly appreciate anything.
