Yesterday 10/31, I went to 2 emergency rooms - the first one wasn't extremely helpful but the 2nd one admitted me and rushed me in for emergency spine surgery. A disc in my spine had completely detached and was causing nerve damage and excruciating pain. It is called Cauda equina syndrome and it had already done damage in the 2-3 days I was suffering through it. Unfortunately, I am now hospitalized and will require intensive physical, occupational and aqua therapy. My left leg is still suffering from loss of sensation,  tingling and weakness. I will have to relearn using the bathroom and walking to name a few things. Obviously, during this time I will not able to work. Losing 2+ weeks of pay is going to be a massive setback. On top of that, my insurance OOP's and co-pays are super high and I am going to have significant medical expenses.
