Right now, Phil is facing serious medical challenges, and the cost of transportation is adding even more stress during an already difficult time. Phil and Robin were on their way to New York to visit family. On their way, Phil became very ill and ended up in the hospital in Ohio. After a week plus in the hospital in Ohio, plans were made to transport Phil to the Louisville VA Hospital to be “home” and with his doctors. Phil did not meet the eligibility criteria, so Robin had to put this cost on her credit cards.
