Rent help and bills owed to landlord..In november of 2023 my husband abandoned me, just left one night as i came in from work and never came back, if we have talked since than at all its been in emails. He was the breadwinner. So i was forced to figure it out on my own. He paid our rent and left us 3 months behind and i didnt know until after he left. I was taken to court and worked out a deal w my landlord that i kept my word on to keep a roof over our heads. It's me, my daughter whos 17, my son who is 10, and my mom who is handicapped and just going through a lot. August of 2024, in that house we had a kitchen fire. That caused so many issues for us. We lost a lot from the smoke damage. It was devastating. By January 2025, w the little money from insurance i did get i moved us into a house (that we are in now) that we all honestly are so happy in. August 2025, i found a lump in my breast. It than traveled to under my arm pit and was leaking stuff thay smelled like death literally. I havent been able to get it truly checked out in detail bc missing one day of work can mess us up financially. The world right now is hard for everyone but w just my income it became a need to just work. Fast forward to November 2025, lump doubled in size. Which messed w me mentally. On 12/21 i lost 1 of my 2 jobs. The one i lost was my main one. W christmas and everything going on it put me a month behind plus some other stuff i owed my landlord. Which is now 3 water sewer trash bills. I took my second job on full time. I clean up dog poop in people's back yards. Not glamorous but money and since than have been filling out and looking for a second job. Well being behind it stressed me out. End of jan we got hit by a big snow storm and i missed more work. Than end of april my car broke down (which i need a car to do my job) and i got told that it was my hybrid battery. My boss helped me finance that which i still owe her for. Only to get it fixed to find out engine went. I found that out because after I got my Battery put in, I had the shop pull it in for an oil change. When they pulled it out and I was excitedly waiting for my car to get back to normal life they told me that it wouldn't stay started. I went out to my car to try to start it and half the oil I just got in the oil change spilled all over the parking lot. They had told me that they thought that there was an issue with my engine, then when they finally got a chance to look at it they told me that there was a huge hole in the front of my engine. My mom has tried to help even though she's in the hospital, she's been in the hospital for months. But she was scammed for money this year trying to help get us caught up. We were doing so well, no issues. Than life hit us in the butt pretty hard and it could split us all up. We were finally happy, after a lot of trauma. We dont even have a car to stay in if needed and after the fire I realized we truly only have each other we are alone. To top it all off i tried dating again after my separation to have it turn out to be a domestically violent relationship. Any little bit helps, i am still and have been trying to get help from programs. I was hoping to be able to pay off everything and get a car again w my tax return but thats being held up bc my ex husband didnt file 2024. Talking to him is like talking to a ghost so i am praying he does that and my 2025 tax return will be released. This amount requested would get me a car to get back to work, and catch us up. Than we can go back to normal. My landlord is sending us all text messages about how we have to be out on Tuesday if we don't have the total amount, we haven't even gone to court yet. I would prefer to try not to go to court but I don't know what to do I don't think I'm gonna make it through this if we don't figure it out I'm feeling at a loss.
