My name is Susan, and I'm facing something that only about 30 people in the world have ever been diagnosed with - a rare form of plasmatic ovarian cancer. When I first heard those words, I couldn't believe this was happening to me. But here we are, and I'm doing everything I can to fight.
I live in Brayton, Iowa, and I'm incredibly fortunate to have my daughter as my full-time caretaker. She's been my rock through all of this, but the reality is that managing my care comes with costs that are stretching us thin. Beyond my regular medical appointments and co-pays, there are medications that my insurance won't cover. There are medical supplies we need. There's fuel for the car to get to my appointments. And there are bills piling up that we simply can't meet on our own.
To make matters harder, I've also had two strokes during this time, which has complicated everything. My daughter and I are doing our best, but we're a small family without much support around us. We're not looking for handouts - we're looking for help to keep fighting and to keep me on the road to treatment and recovery.
If you're able to contribute anything toward medical supplies, fuel, appointment costs, and medications, it would mean everything to us. Your generosity would help us focus on what matters most - my health and getting through this together.
Thank you for considering us during this difficult time.
