Help Support Mike Egan on His Road to Recovery 

On September 22, 2026, our father-in-law underwent a major surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to repair three aortic aneurysms.

Thankfully, his surgery went well, and he has continued to make progress in his recovery. We are so grateful for the doctors, nurses, and everyone who has cared for him along the way.

The next step in his recovery is getting him to a facility where he can receive the occupational and physical therapy (OT/PT) he needs to regain his strength and independence. Our original plan was to transfer him to Grand Rapids, but unfortunately, insurance has denied that transfer twice.

We are now working to find a facility closer to home that can provide him with the level of care he needs. Because of the distance from Ann Arbor, getting him there will require a long-distance ambulance transport, which comes with a significant out-of-pocket cost.

That is where we are asking for a little help.
