My husband was driving home after third shift on Friday morning when he fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road. He woke up to a board coming through the windshield and lodged in his left arm above the elbow.

He needs ongoing medical care and therapy, and we don’t know when he’ll be able to return to work. He was our household’s only income, while I’m dealing with severe diabetes and weekly wound care on my leg. We’re also trying to manage his appointments since he can’t drive right now.
