I recently was hospitalized and diagnosed with heart and liver disease and, unfortunately, my kidneys are not functioning, so I will need a kidney transplant. I am currently on dialysis to stay alive until I am able to get a transplant from a donor. This has affected my life dramatically, and I am praying for a good outcome as I continue dialysis until I get the call from the Mayo Clinic to complete all the testing required to get on the kidney transplant list. One kidney is all you need to live a full life. This journey has been challenging physically, emotionally, and mentally, but I remain hopeful and trusting in the power of the Lord, community, and compassion. ONE KIDNEY CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING.
