One of my best friends Michelle is about to go through the battle of her life. Her cardiologist has informed her that her aortic valve is in severe condition and needs replaced as soon as possible. This is going to require open heart surgery so an artificial valve can be placed. Michelle is currently working and saving up every dollar possible to cover her bills while she recovers. Her cardiologist is saying she can spend upwards of 4 weeks inpatient (although we all know how strong she is, so we are hoping for less) then she is expected to be off work for an additional 6-8 weeks for recovery and cardiac therapy. I’m trying to help raise money to take some of the stress off of Michelle’s shoulders (and heart ❤️) so she can focus on her recovery after surgery and not stressing over a bill. 
 

As of now we do not have a definitive surgery date due to a tooth infection needing to be taken care of first. But that appointment is this week. Michelle has already met with the cardiac surgeon she chose last week and feels very good about him being her surgeon. We are hoping to get the tooth infection taken care of quickly because her surgeon has described her aorta as being in serious condition currently. If she were to wait another month, her aorta will reach life-threatening conditions.

I have watched my friend continuously work the 25 hours a week she is allowed; while holding so much fluid from her heart not being able to pump it properly through her body that she struggles to breath. She does it with a smile, EVERYDAY. Michelle is a friend to everyone and is always willing to help if someone needs it. Here’s our chance to help her.
