About this fundraiser

As many of you know, George was born with Cerebral Palsy and this has made it difficult for him to learn standing, walking and weight bearing. He has come a very long way and we want to encourage him to go even further.

We are fundraising for a special Gait Trainer called the Levity. Unlike typical gait trainers that enable a seated walk and poor posture. The Levity is changing the way George walks.

It's designed to use a weighted system to gradually allow George to use his own body weight when walking. As he gets stronger and he we remove more weight, he will eventually be able to walk  with powerful and  meaningful steps.

He has trialed the device 2 times and each time he had had great success carrying a third of his own body weight! It's not heavy,  foldable and able to be transported to and from school to maximize use and strengthen skills.

For the first time ever, George  was able to walk up to his Meemaw and wrap his arms aroud her.  A milestone we will cherish forever. This will open doors for George and get his brain and body communicating in a way a 5 year old craves. We appreciate all your support in helping us give George his steps!
