My mom, Barbara lives in small mobile home with my brother in NY, and they are both disabled.   My mom is 77 and  had a stroke many years ago that left her paralyzed on her left side. We lost my dad in 2008 at the age of 57.  Mom continued to live in her home alone and take care of it the best she could, but time took its toll, and it became unlivable and unsafe. The winters in NY are rough, and destroyed her home. She did not want to leave because that was where she raised us six children and the only home she shared with her husband. When she broke her hip about 18 months ago, she was forced to leave her home because of the condition it was in. It is not salvagable. She moved into the very small trailer where my brother is living and it is not sufficient for her situation. She needs full-time care, and my brother is taking care of her with the help of our sister the best they can. She does not have insurance that will cover aide or provide assisted living.  They need an environment that supports her challenges and provides the necessary space with room for her medical support devices, and they do not have that.   Our prayer is to get a suitable trailer for them so they can manage day-to-day living. She has struggled and lived a tough life but she is a fighter!   We, the family, are doing all we can and may be able to get some non-profit assistance, but she needs help to get the trailer before assistance can be provided. If you are moved to do so please help us make this a reality for our mom so she can return to where she loves with a suitable trailer to live in where she can have some quality of life.  All funds will go directly to buying a trailer home and the concrete slab that is mandated for it to be placed on.  Please keep us in prayer.  God Bless!
