Hello everyone. My name is Rema, I am 27 and I am a mother to three beautiful, amazing children. Today, I am writing to everyone from a place of deep vulnerability and urgent need of help, as I am currently in need of a life saving surgery across the world in Manila, Philippines. My medical journey has been a series of life-threatening battles. For the last 8 years, I have been fighting an agonizing war against multiple rare, progressive chronic illnesses and diseases that have completely taken over not only my life, but all of ours. I have spent more of the last 8 years enduring countless scans, procedures, major surgeries, life sustaining treatment to keep me alive, appointments, medical complications with long hospital stays away from home--than at home, separated from the 3 little faces who are the sole reason I push through it all. It has robbed me of so many things, but most of all my health and the ability to be the mother I was  before i got sick and that my kids deserve. I have been suffering and struggling so much and now, my only hope is this surgery, but as April is approaching, time is ticking.😢 As of now, there are only two surgeons in the world who have the expertise to perform this highly complex surgery and i have been given a chance, which i am so grateful for. Dr.Alvear has reviewed my case and agreed to helping me, but he is only available at a hospital in Manila, Philippines right now through early April, which is when my surgery will take place. (Hospital admission April 7th to prepare for surgery April 9th.) While I try to prepare for this medical mission across the world, we are also facing the devastating reality of losing our home to foreclosure. The timing could not be more cruel and i have truly been hanging on by a thread between everything happening, but I am really trying so hard to stay strong and keep hope. 

I am please asking for your help to get me to Manila for my surgery.🙏💜  All funds raised will go directly to: 
●My surgery and hospital stay including OR fees, labs and medications.
●Airfare to the Philippines
●4-6 weeks of medical/recovery housing in Manila until i am medically stable enough to fly back home.
●Transportation to and from the airport and to and from the recovery condo.
