If you know Bob, you know how hard that is to even picture. He may be 70 years old, around 5'4" and 140 pounds, but this man runs circles around people half his age. I have worked side by side with him for 10+ years remodeling my properties, helping my clients, and helping countless other people.

Bob is one of the hardest-working and genuinely nicest people you will ever meet.

As people get older, I think everyone has something that becomes their art…the thing they are naturally gifted at and truly love doing. For Bob, that art is working on houses.

If you have ever seen any of my short-term rentals, or any of the properties I have personally listed and sold that Bob has remodeled, then you have seen what he can do. His work is unbelievable. He can take something dated, damaged, or run-down and completely transform it. He takes so much pride in every detail, and everything he does is done right.

He also charges people far less than what most people would ever charge for the quality of work he does. He is constantly helping people, fixing things, building things, solving problems, and somehow never complains. He loves what he does. He is always working. You name it, Bob can usually figure out how to fix it.

About five weeks ago, Bob was replacing some rotting siding on one of my listings when he told me his stomach was hurting really badly. He went to Wawa and got some soup, hoping it would help, but the pain became so severe that he eventually had to go to the emergency room.

After numerous tests, and while spending his 70th birthday in the hospital, Bob found out that he had pancreatic cancer.

To make the timing even more heartbreaking, Bob had just paid cash for a fifth wheel that was being delivered the same day he received his diagnosis. As if all of that was not enough, Bob called me last Friday with more heartbreaking news. His 11-year-old Siberian Husky, Maddie, had passed away. Maddie was not just his dog. She was family and truly like a child to him. Losing her in the middle of everything else has only made an already devastating situation even harder.

Bob and his beautiful wife, Joy, have been married for six years. Since his diagnosis, he has had to have a stent placed, has been in and out of the hospital, and he starts chemotherapy this Friday. Even through all of this, he is still trying to work a couple of hours a day when he can.

The reality is simple: if Bob is not working, he is not making money.

That is one of the hardest parts of all of this. Working is not just how Bob makes a living, it is a huge part of who he is. To see someone who has spent his whole life constantly moving, building, fixing, creating, and helping other people now having to slow down because of cancer is incredibly difficult.

That is why I am starting this GoFundMe.

Bob has spent years showing up for other people. Now I am hoping we can show up for him.

Any amount you can donate will help with everyday living expenses, medical-related costs, transportation, and most importantly, giving Bob a little breathing room so he does not feel like he has to keep working just to survive while going through chemotherapy.
